Becoming A Zest Partner
At Zest Food Service we believe in building strong relationships with our suppliers and customers, so that we can offer a premium service and range of produce in the East Midlands region.
We look to work with businesses who share our ethos;
“The Procurement & Delivery of Superior Produce to Fulfil all of our Customer Needs.”
And this ethos means that we get to work with exciting, innovative and passionate businesses that share our vision.
Ultimately it’s about the end user, the customer, the person who desires a meal in a restaurant, pub, canteen or nursing home and who deserves a dining experience second to none.
Even if it’s not always possible to deliver on this premise exactly, it is still the guiding line we work along to ensure we use the best suppliers and deliver the best possible quality to our customers.
Who we work with
We work with businesses across the public and private sector and this includes:
– care homes
– restaurants
– pubs
– cafes
– canteens
– work kitchens
– hotels
– schools
– nurseries
– sandwich shops
– garden centres
– deli’s
and wholesale to the retail trade.
How we find our potential customers
When we make contact with a potential new customer for the first time, we like to get the ball rolling with honest, open and frank conversations about what your requirements are and if we’re the best fit for your business going forward.
This initial contact might be from a drop-in visit from one of our sales team in the local area, it might be a phone call or meeting after your business is referred to us by a happy existing customer that knows you or you may have visited our website and made contact through that channel.
How we learn about you
The important thing now is that we find out what you need as a business and we start to educate you on what we as a business can provide and how we work, so that we can both decide if we’re a good fit for each other.
To give you an example: Zest only deliver in the morning, so if your business can only accept deliveries in the afternoon, we can stop the conversation there, go our separate ways and prevent time being wasted on a compromise that likely won’t satisfy either party.
If that seems a little brutal, it’s not meant to be. What we want to emphasise is that we have a way of working, much like you do and every new customer or business that joins our family needs to understand that from day one.
We will always be open, honest and helpful towards your needs – in essence, we will have your back. We simply ask that this is reciprocated and that the lines of communication remain open, so that if we hit any bumps down the road, you let us know.
How you learn about us
This article is the first of an introduction series that we’ve put together, so that you, a potential new customer, will have a complete understanding of who Zest are and how we work by the end of the series. There are 5 articles in total and we urge you to read these, so that you know everything you need to know about if we are right for you.
We believe that this educational route empowers our new and existing customers to make good business decisions. It cuts down on excessive administration, as well as removes a lot of unnecessary back and forth between customers and our office staff fielding questions, because all of the answers to your questions will be made clear in these 5 articles and further educational articles on our website and blog.
We look forward to hopefully welcoming you as a new Zest customer and please check out the next article in this series entitled Who We Are & What We Do.
